Lunar Dental (“we,” “us”) is a dental practice at 7120 Heritage Village Plaza, Suite 101, Gainesville, VA 20155. This policy explains what we collect through our website, lunardentalcare.com, and through the text messages we send. It also explains what we do with that information.

This policy is not our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Our Notice of Privacy Practices (https://notices.lunardentalcare.com/privacy-practices/) explains how we use and share your health information and your rights to it. Information about your health that you give us, including when you call to schedule or fill out patient forms, is health information, and the Notice applies to it. If this policy and the Notice ever differ about your health information, the Notice controls.

1. Our main website (lunardentalcare.com)

• We do not use advertising or session-recording tools on this site, and we do not set tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how fast our pages load. It records the page you visited, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and page-load timing. Cloudflare states that it does not use this tool to track individual visitors across other websites. We do not offer online booking on this site. To schedule, call 703-349-0099.
• If you choose light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice on your device. We never receive it.
• Our sites are delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect them from attacks.

2. Scheduling

We do not currently offer online booking. To schedule a visit, call 703-349-0099. If we add online booking, we will update this policy before it goes live.

3. Text messages

We send text messages about your appointments and your care: appointment confirmations and reminders, links to your patient forms, and replies to messages you send us. We text only the mobile number you give us, and only if you have agreed to receive texts from us. Agreeing is optional and is never a condition of receiving care. We do not send advertising or promotional texts.

Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts from us. Reply HELP for help, or call 703-349-0099. You can also tell us by phone or at the front desk. Message and data rates may apply. We keep a record of your agreement and of any opt-out.

Your mobile information is not shared for marketing. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number, your agreement to receive texts, or your text-message opt-in information with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes. 4. What we don’t do

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to market to you without your separate permission. See section 3 for how we handle your mobile information.

5. Service providers

We use service providers to run this website and our texts: Cloudflare (delivering our web pages, protecting them from attacks, and the visitor statistics described in section 1), a text-messaging service that delivers our texts, and Microsoft 365 (email). Microsoft handles health information for us under a business associate agreement. Our practice-management system runs on our own office server.

6. Children

Parents or legal guardians schedule for children and fill out forms for them. Our websites are not directed to children under 13.

7. Your choices and rights

Your rights to your health information, including seeing, copying, and correcting it, are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices. 8. Changes

We update this policy when our websites change. The date at the top shows the last update.
